Janet Wooten

Office Manager

Janet has been with J. Philip Cook and Associates since 2002 and is currently the office manager. She manages a variety of general office activities in the daily operations of the company and ensures the smooth functioning of business on a day-to-day basis.

She has solid organizational skills in coordinating all aspects of project management from inception through completion. Janet has proven ability to manage multiple assignments efficiently under extreme pressure while meeting tight deadline schedules.

One of the highlights of her career was working for the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. Janet worked in partnership with IT Info, CIS, Print Distribution, SIS, IT Helpdesk, and Venue Planning teams to gain expertise in the relevant applications, processes, and procedures in order to transform the requirements into training documentation and courses for volunteers, staff and media and delivered training based on this documentation. Her specific responsibilities included design, development and production of curriculum training materials for IT volunteers, authoring and production of training materials, and training of IT volunteers in the use of Games applications and their job specific Games-time roles. These achievements delivered on schedule, Games-time user guides for a variety of roles in Info 2002, CIS, Print Distribution and the IT Helpdesk system and successfully delivered training to Technology volunteers. She also worked in conjunction with her team to launch the SaltLake2002 website in September 2000.

Prior to her work with the Olympics, she worked for several years with a large natural gas transmission company as an IT Administrative Coordinator. She was instrumental in training employees and assisting IT Analysts with installation of new hardware/software. Janet also developed and produced quarterly company-wide “State of the Company” presentations and designed marketing brochures used for external customers.

Her diverse experience over the years has qualified her to be a valuable team player of the J. Philip Cook and Associates’ team.
